It will let you set up a budget and track your expenses, to see how you are doing.  It will also give you some feedback and suggestions for doing better if needed.  It&#039;s absolutely free.  (There are a couple of others I&#039;ve looked  at -- www.pearbudget.com also looks nice, though it has a small fee attached.)
It really helps me to keep track, because then I can look at my spending and see where the money goes.  And I can ask myself this question each time I make a purchase -- is this really worth it?  Will I be happier with this item (whatever it is) or would I be happier with that little bit of extra money in my pocket?  It doesn&#039;t stop me from the occasional splurge, but it does make me think more carefully about what I buy.
