It’s not going to be balanced any time soon. Obama has been honest about that since before he took office. A balanced budget should be the goal but some times there are other priorities. And by the way, even if it was balanced the money spent would still be “the money the people have worked to earn”.
yes, we Democrats have a plan. It’s called “pay-go” it just passed the House. Try some form of education first and become more informed on the issue. Bush and the repubs. spent $2 billion a month in Iraq and passed tax cuts for the wealthy. Every dime went into debt. Repbs. never used “pay-go” Clinton did and he had a balanced budget, Clinton even paid down the debt. We had a surplus when Bush took office.
One other point. Define “work” I am a brick layer. Do you consider it “work” setting at a desk talking on the phone to friends and relatives and playing with the internet all day? I don’t. How about betting on the lottery or playing the stock market. Is that your definition of “work”?
No, because cutting spending is the LAST thing you do in an economic crisis. Spend, spend, and spend some more is the FIRST thing you do.
Balancing the budget can wait. We have to save the economy first.

Seems DEMOCRATS have been the ONLY ones who actually done this successfully recently…. so yeah.. I’m sure the budget will be balanced.
All they have to do is generate about $2 trillion a year in additional revenue I’m sure Americans wont mind paying around $15.000 a year each in ADDITIONAL taxes thats nothing right?
I doubt that liberals or republicans have a plan to balance the budget. They are too busy fist fighting each other.
The People did not work to earn the money that is being spent. The money that is being spent is created out of debt to the Federal Reserve. It is essentially created out of thin air. If the government was only spending money that people worked to earn, the dollar would not be so devalued.
