What Are Some Ideas On Keeping The Pet Food Area In My Home Cleaner And Free Of Dust/dirt/food Crumbs?

Mу two tіnу dogs leave crumbs οf food аƖƖ over thе floor whеn thеу eat. I find myself constantly vaccuuming аnԁ cleaning thе area. Thеу drop crumbs іn thеіr water dispenser аnԁ those seem tο turn іntο mold јυѕt overnight. Needless tο ѕау, I аm constantly changing thе water. It’s ɡrοѕѕ! I need іԁеаѕ οn hοw tο keep thе pet area cleaner аnԁ somehow lessen thе amount οf cleaning thаt I аm doing. Thе constant cleaning іѕ ѕο time consuming, іt’s becoming frustrating! HеƖр! Serious аnѕwеrѕ аrе appreciated.

I have the same problem with my cats (3) and the only thing I can think of is place mats under the food bowl/ or carpet… something that will trap the food crumbs
then you would have to shake it (1x a day?)
or possibly putting some kind of grate where the crumbs fall through (to the outside would be great… but not possible most cases)
I will be watching to see what others say
good luck

I have the same problems but with large sloppy dogs. I recommend separating the food from the water, so it can’t drop into it. Then I use a place mat with an edge around it to keep the crumbs contained instead of all over. (I actually use a boot tray) I would also recommend one of those recirculating water systems. The smaller ones are pretty inexpensive. They keep the water moving and you have to clean it very less often. Unfortunately there is no perfect solution for me mine are super sloppy drinkers and drippers. Good luck!!!

Unfortunately nobody has yet worked out how to make a self cleaning animal! All you can do is clean daily, I have over 2000 pets and am disabled but I manage.
If you don’t like cleaning up after your animals or find it too time consuming then maybe you should consider not having animals

clean it more often.
