These could be ingested or absorbed through the skin. Things like flea dips and collars can even be very toxic to a cat. According to the many books I have read, kidney failure is common because of all the hazards cats come in contact with and the poor quality of many commercial foods, not because cats are prone to have bad kidneys. Document everything and then pursue this action with the company.Perhaps your local animal shelter or the like could help?
